Announcing the release of Twilight Render V2.3 |
We are announcing a big new release for Twilight Render V2! We've fixed a lot of bugs and improved some of the recently added features. Be sure to review the changes made to the Lighting Editor!
Bugs:
- Fixed inconsistencies with Blended Clip (for materials) and made sure materials converted from V1 are set with Blended Clip off
- FIxed render visibility inconsistency for Components/Groups that were created on Layer 0
- Fixed bug when cancelling V1 to V2 conversion
- Fixed 64 bit bug with the Render Preset Editor
- Fixed light tool inferencing
- Fixed NK related bug in Deep Editor
- Fixed advanced options bug for Template Materials
- Fixed Light Power calculation bug (See changes to Light Editor below)
Features:
- Added new ways to create new Batch Render entries including copying from a previous entry or copying from the current render setup (Pro Required)
- Improved presentation of license information
- Improved Light Editor Power settings
- Users now choose between Watts and Lumens
- When selecting Watts, users choose lm/W conversion (Efficacy)
- The previous power calculations using Watts resulted in over-powered lights. The new editor uses corrected power settings.
- Please note that lights in the new editor will be less bright than equivalent wattage lights using the previous editor (< 2.3)
- Improved Material Library Importer / Browser
- Materials Libraries are now automatically loaded and are easier to navigate and select
- A preview of imported materials / Deep materials are now rendered in the Template Material Editor; Hobby users can now see a rendered preview of their imported library selection
