I had some free time over the weekend and decided to challenge myself to create a scene from an inspiration image I saved a while back....

Modern Bathroom
It's been way too long since I've had time to play. I saved a reference photo a while back that I thought would make for a quick practice project. I need to let it render out longer to remove some of the noise, but this was about an hour of modeling and an hour to render. I like the no clutter look ...

Modern ski cabin
I had some free time last weekend so I found an inspiration image on ArchDaily and started a new scene. There are still some tweaks I want to make and details to add to finish it. Any comments / crits are welcome to help me finlize it.

Kitchen Remodel
A quick project I did to help a friend make some decisions for a kitchen remodel. I only planned to do a SketchUp model but next thing I knew I was editing materials and testing lighting. I'd like to find a better dining chair model in the same style, if I find some time I'll revisit it.

And I also agree that it's way too time consuming to find appropriate people in the exact orientation that you need. Fletch, it's smart that you charge a lot more to add people, I have found that most clients ju...

Re: render challenge
Really nice work! I voted for you last week.
I love the mood of the dusk sky and lighting. I'd love to see this in the middle of an urban environment, but I know how much extra work this would involve to get the surrounding buildings in.

Re: Another library renovation
Thanks Fletch, I was happy with the outcome for this one.
And you're right, the shadow layer in Photoshop was way too dark. It looked okay on my monitor but not on other screens. Now it was bothering me so I updated it.
