Light source behind image

Hi, I am trying to render a scene of a hockey arena from a private suite. I'm using a real image of the arena as the view from the suite. Problem is the image is blocking the light from the arena from reaching the suite. Outside of rendering this twice, with and without the image in place, is there ...

Re: Slow rendering on kitchen layout

@tuna57 I agree, I have struggled with those pot lights and keep playing around with them. That looks good Fletch! I haven't done any post-pro yet so will keep working on it! I am rendering another version with dark floor and cabinets (the seller is offering 2 colour schemes) so will post that when ...

Re: Slow rendering on kitchen layout

I started fresh with the lighting. Took everything out and started over. I'm liking the image more now but I think I have lost objectivity because I've been looking at it too long lol. I rendered on easy 09. The only lights not visible in the image are a few wall sconces I placed on the wall behind ...

Slow rendering on kitchen layout

Hello all, I have a question that I did a search for but couldn't find an answer, what is the difference between Easy 09 and Easy 10? I did this on Easy 10 to see if I could see a difference and I cannot. It is so slow to render, this was after about 100 passes and still grainy looking after renderi...

Re: Attaching twilight info to model being sent to another computer

Hmm I think because I'm using the hobby version V2 at work and pro version V1 at home. This might be the problem. I took the model home and tried to render and all the materials and bump maps were black in Twilight.

On second look, no, both are pro but different versions.

Attaching twilight info to model being sent to another computer

Hi all, I know this info is here because I've done it before but I can't find it and can't remember how to do it!

How do I download the model to open on another computer with all the twilight material and scene information so I don't have to set it all up again?

Thank you!

Re: High gloss white on white

Thank you Chris and Fletch. I turned it a little so I'd get more of the window in the reflection, I angled the sun to come into the space more and with the perfect reflection it is better. Where the sun hits the walls it's too bright though. Is this because the sun is turned up too much or the sky i...

Re: High gloss white on white

Thank you for your reply Chris! I really struggle with HDR backgrounds. I'm can't seem to figure them out. I did change the finish to perfect reflection 'high' and that has helped but would still like something more interesting to reflect. Can you point me in the direction of a HDR tutorial?
