Thanks amatters! I will continue to work on my NPR skills and hopefully pick up some PR ones along the way. You (and the other guys one the forum) are right about NPR being better at conveying the 'feeling' and design, and also saves so much time! HAvnt had much time to do any modeling and rendering...

I too really like that style, i've seen others do it before and always wanted to do one!
unfortunatly its really busy for the next few weeks until final exams are over, so i'll upload some stuff again when winter break starts! hopefully my render skills will have improved by then =P

thank you guys, yeah, i guess from now on it should be a habit for me to change the hdri to a higher res picture in pp. thanks dspace and fletch for the insight! I still need to learn about materials and application of materials, theres just so much to learn when rendering =P obviously having a foru...

someone turned off my comp when it was rendering while i was at school....-.- so here it is re-rendered this is after 35 mins, i notice i forgot to add a gloss to the tv screen :oops: sigh* thanks for the tip fletch, luckily i read that before this render otherwise we'd have bright sunshine in the h...

thanks for the input guys =D I tried too much on photorealism when i first started w/o knowing much background about rendering, and I must say the results were horrible! but now that i've played around more I like how NPR gives a 'design' feeling and is so much faster to produce I've taken your sugg...
