Re: Residential Extension

Dan_ddd wrote:I was watching Grand Designs UK only last night and they were showing a door at around 2 metres. When it was fully open it acted as a wall so don't see any reason why your door shouldn't work. Nice rendering by the way :^:

Thanks Dan_ddd. I can see no problem with it either!

Noise Issue

Hi, The attached image was rendered on Preset Easy-09 Interior Progressive. I think it did 22 passes - 12 hours. I never seem able to loose the grainy/ noise feel. Am I doing something wrong? Is it always to be expected that there will be some noise and that it has to be removed in post production e...

Re: Render - Residential Extension

Thanks Fletch - my light settings are as attached.......... I really like this angle, perfect. Lighting seems wrong. Hide furniture and turn off all lights, get sunlight correct with test renders first, then add lights and re-render/adjust until happy with lighting, then add in furniture, this will ...

Re: Render - Residential Extension

My latest attempt on this project. I set up a different view.

Suggestion on ways to improve welcome. Rendered on progressive - 09

It's not quite as sharp as I would like - bit grainy, particularly on the metallic surfaces!

Re: Residential Extension

   Great composition and combination of colors and lighting, but the door should be 90cm-100cm or maximum 110-120cm wide. Thank you. Why should the door be 120cm wide max?? (we have done this before - use very strong hinges!) Are these people very, very very large?

Saturation adjusted.............
Fletch wrote:Looking quite good!
the colors (especially the brick) seem too oversaturated.
The leather and UV texture mapping/smoothing/model on the chair could be much improved.

Re: Render - Residential Extension

Thanks Fletch. I did some post production on the image and may have overdone the saturation! Could you point me in the right direction regarding tutorials and improving the chair All I have done is apply the shiny plastic template! The chair is from FormFonts. I think the model of it is ok, so not s...
