Re: Attempt at a 'serious' render

Thanks for the encouragement and info. I will plug away for a while. But worth noting, I don't get much call for this, and I ain't no 'Solo'. So my renders will always be 'quick and dirty'. So for example, once I learn a way of getting the 'outside' right, that will be it, I expect. BTW. Showed one ...

Reduced the bump on the floor etc. Think I'm going backwards tho. The whole scene looks dull even tho you can now ...

Attempt at a 'serious' render

Part of a laundry remodel, my attempt to show the client how it will be. Although I use SU extensively for design and presentation, this is the first time a client has asked for a real visualization. They are happy with the result, but I know it could be a lot better, so C&C's are most welcome. ...

Re: Newbie renderer WIPs

Thanks Fletch, will check it all out, I am currently ploughing thru the Jez post, but my poor brain is hurting. I can't do anything this weekend, but I will get back with some results next week.

Re: Newbie renderer WIPs

I like these designs...they remind me of Japanese calligraphy characters :gj: Have you seen this thread by Jez ? He was asking the same questions you are now. Thanks Marcus, the designs originate in hand drawn (yikes, on paper!) 'gestures', so I suppose there is a strong connection to caligraphy, n...

Re: Newbie renderer WIPs

Thank you Tom.
And hi there Stu, long time no speak. Glad you like the work, got any ideas for possible outlets in Melbourne for stuff like this?
Also, are all the renders on your site done with Twilight?
Baz.
