Re: Couple of first tries at rendering
These are top class already! :^: There's something odd about the can lights in the soffits, are they not cutting the ceiling geometry properly or something? thanks for the kind words. I used the Twilight component lights from the forum. I didn't think about it before I tried it but they won't cut t...

Re: Bump Map Settings
ok, thanks, here is a follow up. Knowing that white is up, black is down, and 50% grey is nothing, and knowing that there is no actual displacement, if i had checkerboards that were black and white and the bump was set to 1, 5, and 10 what would the result be? That is, if 1 = 100%, 100% of what?

Bump Map Settings
Ok, I've done a search, read Tal's book and pdf for Twilight, read the Twilight Render manual and looked on the internet with no good answer. So now I am asking, when setting the size of a bump, what does the number represent? for instance in his pdf tal shows an example photo that has both a birck ...

Re: Kerkythea to Twilight Lighting
To get the speed, you will want to use Fake Emit to make the lights appear to be shining, and use spot lights below them to emulate the light that should be coming from the emitting surface. Then, because it's only spot lights, Easy Medium should look very good in much less render time. Avoid SSS m...

Re: Kerkythea to Twilight Lighting
Thanks Fletch, I've been following your posts over at the Kerkythea forums for awhile. The sketchup end was the easy part. I was just curious, because twilight and kerkythea are for lack of a better term "related" twilight might recognize the lights. I'm getting some long render times with...

Re: Kerkythea to Twilight Lighting
I assume you are talking about using SU2KT? Twilight Render doesn't support any part of SU2KT. It was made by an independent author. If the SU2KT lights are components, though, you may be able to edit the components and replace the lights with Twilight lights. Of course, 98 lights is a huge number ...
