Re: Can Twilight use 32 threads?
cwarn23, Twilight uses the Kerkythea engine in the background (which is why it is extremely easy to use Kerky materials or export to Kerky) but until Kerkythea does not support these features, Twilight will not either. Good news is however that the developer of Kerkythea is currently developing anot...

Re: Some Romanesque
Yes, I know that clay is single threaded (it was not a time issue however). Also, I lowered the sun as the soft was too much (and especially for the below image where I wanted the "rays" of the rose window to show in the sanctuary, I needed it pretty low). I enjoy this project a lot but I ...

Re: Some Romanesque
Well, it will be for GE actually.
See the GPR survey image overlay for GE attached below too (well, kmz is not an allowed attachment so rename the zip to kmz if you are curious)
Here is another shot of the western side (some details are still to come later)

Re: Smooth Transparency Gradient
Hi Fletch, thanks for the tip but...Fletch wrote:The easiest way to get the .png's transparency to be read in Twilight as a "transparency mask" is to import the image as .png and leave it as an unexploded image.
What if I want (need) to use it as a texture instead?

Some Romanesque
I made this overnight. Obviously I had no time to texture correctly but the clay renders came out so dark that I finally grouped the whole thing and painted with some (quite neutral) stone material. It came out surprisingly well (did they do something with SU???). Obviously the arches are not correc...

Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
To be honest, it is somewhat the same to me. There is a quite easy workflow for dummies like us: tweak your material in Twilight: use one of the presets and all... export your model to Kerky with the Twilight exporter now make final adjustments like adding that normal map save as Kerky material and ...

Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
Well, normal mapping would be good  there are many times when needed, and here says that normal mapping is supported. So, it can be a near future feature :rspkt: You can create your Kerkythea material with a normal map and use that material in Twilight. Twilight will support the rendering ...

Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
The render engine Twilight is using is Kerkythea. So for instance until Kerkythea doe not support displacement, we cannot expect it in Twilight either. As for the nodes/network rendering however, this gives you an excellent possibility combining Twilight and Kerkythea. Tweak your scenes and such in ...
