Re: Render to Texture

What level of photorealism can we achieve with this and what render settings will be available? The definition on some of your example doesn't look very high. I am looking for something like the image attached from a Blender texture baking tutorial by Blender Guru.

Render to Texture

Just seen this announcement. Is this actually Texture Baking or is there a difference? Sounds like what I've been waiting for.

Re: Cooking in Black & White!

Nicely done, good attention to detail. Could maybe use a little more post pro to remove the colour cast from the wall paint? Might be my monitor calibration, looks slightly pink to me.

Re: render problem

Have you perhaps applied the 'floor' template to the material? That would break up the pattern to try to make separate tiles. You don't need that template if the texture already shows the grout lines.

Re: Not quite there

Hi Guys, Sorry about the delay replying, I have been on holiday for a couple of weeks. Thanks again for all your input and encouragement. Chris, I take your point about the lighting and the HDR image position, There are also roof lights which is where the sunlight is coming from. With regards to bev...

Re: Not quite there

Thanks for your comments. All of the materials are at least satin finish some with bump maps. I even put a very subtle bump on the walls to emulate imperfect plastering. Some of the best results I have had in the past were only lit by daylight(old job attached below) and I find combining interior li...

Not quite there

Hi All I find after quite some time striving for photorealism I am still not quite there yet, and I don't know why. I have taken care over materials and model but the attached image to me still looks like a render. I have avoided interior lights and used only the sun and an HDRI, the scene was rende...

Re: BATCH RENDER QUESTIONS

Put the item on a separate layer, disable that layer in the scene you don't want it to show up in. Make sure you then update the scene and save the file.
