Re: Just a couple of questions..

Understood. I assume the memory issue is because of large render size? Obviously large model size would be a conflict inside SU, regardless of Twilight's support. If you are having memory issues with the current release of 1.0.6, I strongly encourage you to check back soon as we are releasing a main...

Re: Playing with SSS and a 3D warehouse model

It can work with the others but won't look as good, and can add a lot of extra render time. At the lower end (Low, Low+) you may not get any results or you may get "estimated" results.

Re: Just a couple of questions..

Twilight is currently limited to the 32-bit memory limitation, yes. I'm not sure if compiling Twilight with 64 bit enabled would work or if there would be conflicts with SU; I haven't tried. Twilight doesn't expose the ability to set a normal map. We wanted to keep things simple and small and decide...

Very cool. I like the "inside" view best.

Re: HI!!.. & problem with material..

Twilight doesn't do any modifications or manipulations for libraries. They are treated as "black boxes". So there is, currently, no way to change a library materials parameters. however, you can control the UV scale of the model itself by applying a texture to the model and sizing it. This...

Re: Save Twilight material definition in SU

To answer GWydouw's original question: We would love to attach the extra Twilight info to SU's materials so you could save SU material libraries. That was one of the first things we looked into. Unfortunately, SketchUp has a bug where it doesn't correctly load any of the "extra" info embed...

Re: How to use Twilight with SketchyPhysics

I assumed you played the animation in SU before rendering? In animations, SketchUp doesn't interpolate camera target, it only interpolates camera direction . Under a lot of conditions, this is fine, but since Twilight can render DOF (depth of field), the actual target point, the point that the camer...

Re: HI!!.. & problem with material..

Hi Smiley. Thanks for the praise! There are some "rules" regarding materials in Twilight (this should definitely go in the FAQ ;) ) Any face with a "Front" material applied will always use that material if not -- If that face is in a group or component, if that group or component...

Re: How to use Twilight with SketchyPhysics

I'm not all that familiar with the recorder. Is there an advantage to using it? I can look at it if it provides added features and capabilities.
