To confirm, you have a locked and hidden instance of the grass in your SketchUp outliner? What happens if, in the Skatter editor window, you uncheck Render Only, then re-check it (to enable re(Generate)), and then click re(Generate) and try to render? Yes the grass instance is there. Also, I just looked at the file size. Any reason a 8'x10' rectangle component and some Skatter grass should be almost 17mb?

With previous versions of both Twilight and Skatter, if you checked the Render Only button, the geometry would not be visible in the model, but would render fine. I talked to the Skatter folks and they said it's an issue with Twilight. I'm sure the functionality was just missed in the first version ...

So many times with the photoreal people, they look obvious and fake. Here [they] fit perfectly. Perspective is right, lighting is natural for the space they're in, and they are interacting with the space in a very real way.

I agree about the exterior view being underexposed, and will add that you should rotate the image of the building so that it is coplanar with the camera. Also, if possible, make sure the horizon line matches that of your model. These three things will greatly improve the believability of the render
