Re: How Fast Are You - Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus Lam

Even better we can just run the "Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus Lam" :) I got 31sec with a cheap chip! I think I saw a 16sec with an intel but I wonder what it cost? Then again, $500 buck is an expensive chip for some people and not others... We should work out a ranking like 1/Sec/USD ...

Re: How Fast Are You - Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus Lam

Bought some bits and pieces online the other week to upgrade my system. Back in 2006 I tried out an AMD dual core when they were taking market share from Intel and it was great then later intel came back with it's 2 core duo chip and took the lead back. Looking around intel still looks like they hav...

Has anyone (or does anyone know if you can) used armedia plugin for sketchup with twilight too? it'd be a great combination if you could use fully rendered images

Re: Bump question

Agree, something is wrong! The light from under the table is causing the side close to the light to highlight and the far side to shadow so it's sticking out. If there is a light off screen causing this it would create a shadow on the chair legs back toward the pool too but that's not visible I'd fu...

Re: License for a cloud PC?

Kerkythea <snort> I like Twilight  I'd like to give this a try, this kind of utility based computing is getting cheaper and more powerful and suits this kind of "palm the grunt work off to someone else for a buck" kind of work. I'm not going to get on my high horse and say its the...

Re: License for a cloud PC?

I wasn't really suggesting that you do something special for cloud, I'm wondering if there's anything I need to know. Twilight is licensed for 2 PC's I understand. I have only one at home so theoretically I could put my second PC's license there on a vPC? When I want to render something big I upload...

License for a cloud PC?

Twilight staff, As my PC gets older I see that I could save a lot of time rendering with new hardware that is out. With the exception of rendering my home PC works fine though (4 year old quad core, 8gb ram) so I don't really want to bother upgrading just yet. Online clud services like Amazon's AWS ...
