Good job on the sharks, but I think I prefer your orange crates  Those material settings + lighting make the crates look very real to me :^:

I guess I am not a fish person

Curtains in the wind

This is a new render of that scene with Alvydas' curtain material. I managed to smooth the curtains with Artisan and I am quite happy with the result. The brick wall looks fake... :v: I have not played yet with the exposure or any postpro. Feel free to comment the composition, modeling, etc. Cheers ...

Re: My first real crack at it - C&C Please

Very nice first render!

quick hint for added realism (next time): steel square tubes have rather big radius. I never actually mesured one, but I would guess at least 10mm - .375in.

Re: My first real crack at it - C&C Please

There is something in your composition that looks quite out of scale to me, probably the floor texture.

Your wood material is very nice  I like how the light is reflected.

Your arm chairs would look awesome with some kind of leather texture ;)

Re: work in progress - first Twilight render

Your subject is the interior, then your priority should be to have the best exposure for your subject. Then you will see why many real estate photographers now use multiple exposure blending ;) Fletch posted about exterior vs interior exposure and sample shots, should be easily found in the Resource...

Re: Curtains and Drapes materials

Sorry guys, but I do not have much patience for modeling the curtains. In fact, simple curtains is not difficult to do using SketchyFFD plugin. If not lazy, try ... But realistically it damn hard to do :wall: Thanks, this is what I was looking for (but, I dont understand portugese...) This i...
