hmmm, did you right click just the top face, then click "Make Unique Texture" like this?

Try making the texture unique after photo-matching and before rendering.

I'm getting there, this is the lampshade template tweaked as shown below and using a bumpmap (the noise map shared with registered users) to simulate the surface as seen in this closeup shot.
