Version 1.3 released

Post by Chris » Sat Mar 20, 2010 3:12 pm

Announcing our next release, version 1.3!!

http://www.twilightrender.com/public_da ... v1_3_0.exe

Just download and run the installer. There is no need to uninstall any previous version; the installer will copy over the existing files. Make sure you don't delete your license (in Plugins/Twilight)!!

In this release:
  • Change where any light is aiming by selecting the light, right-clicking, and choosing Twilight->'Set Light Target' from the context menu. Then click on a point to have the light aim at that point.
    Image
  • A new 'eyedropper' selector for selecting lights in the Light Editor
    Image
  • Several 'auto-saving' options for saving your render periodically, automatically when finished, or manually
    Image
  • Save a snapshot of your SketchUp view to the exact dimensions and position as your render*
    Image
  • A bell sound when your render is complete
  • Use SketchyReplay recordings in your animations, as well as 'real-time' SketchyPhysics simulations.
We've also fixed some issues:
  • Texture naming - textures no longer risk overwriting each other. They also handle any valid file character, even non-ascii characters.
  • Target during animation - the camera target during animation is now fixed so it matches SketchUp's view, but also maintains a correct target distance for Depth of Field renders.
Known issues:
  • *When you save a snapshot of your SketchUp view but your image ratio is wider than the actual SU screen ratio, the image will not be positioned correctly. This is an SU quirk, that we will be attempting to work around.
Once again, thanks to our translators for their help!!

We have added some demo videos to the post above to demonstrate how some of the new capabilities work. Enjoy! ;)
