And how does this work for TW 2.4.4
I can not assign an IES file to an emitter. In these examples you can, so how does this work for the current version?

That post explains how to create an emitter material that uses IES lights.

Going over this subject some more in more detail (I hope). In the attached scene I just placed four POINT lights up in the upper end of the light well on each side. Using Easy 09 is there a reason instead to use SPOT lights, or an EMITTER texture? Obviously the source is not visible so I don't need the emitter for that. In the tutorials spot lights (or emitter for 09) are used for indirect lighting. That's better?
