V2 Tutorials Animated Snippets
#DeepMaterial #shatteredglass #temperedglass

Here is a quick way to begin a layered material for creating a shattered glass material. Also included below is a scene for testing your glass material and 2 different deep materials which are starter kits for shattered tempered glass which you can load into any scene and edit for yourself.

As this material is using "Realistic Glass" material in one layer, you will want your test model glass pane to have a thickness of approximately 0.5 cm.

The procedural shattered-looking material texture is first created as the "Weight", aka "Mask" for the first layer in the layered material. Then it is simply copied, then pasted into the "Weight" for the second layer, then "invert" is checked so that the mask will work for the second layer to mix the 2 material layers.

From this discussion - Subject: rainy road - wet concrete - wet asphalt #wetasphalt #wetroad #wetconcrete
Here is a Wet Asphalt or Wet Concrete material that you can modify the wetness by changing the scale of the procedural "weight" as shown below. You can of course change the procedural texture in the "weight" to be anything you like, you simply must copy that procedural to be in the weight slot for both material layers, and then "invert" the second weight.

To use this material:
Download and unzip the "asphalt-Wet-SUTexture.zip" file anywhere on your computer.
Paint any surface in your model with SU basic material in the "Asphalt and Concrete" section - "Concrete_Aggregate_Smoke"
Then choose to edit this "Concrete_Aggregate_Smoke" material with Twilight Material Tool eyedropper.
Import the material Material>Tools>Import and find the "Asphalt-Wet-SUTexture.xml" file where you saved it on your computer.

Those with Twilight V2 Pro can edit the material's look/behavior with the Deep Material editor - see example in animated .gif below.
Those without V2 Pro can use the free Kerkythea material editor - open the attached material library below inside of KT, edit, save the material, then load that new material into Twilight.

Wet Asphalt with TWL Hobby:
1. Make a png file looking like a puddle (i chose the colour white)
2. in su make a rectangle with the png file as texture (make it as a group)
3. define the puddle texture something like this:
- Perfect reflection, moderate
- opacitay around 7-10
- IOR: 1,03
- Reflectivity: 51
- bumpmap: something "rough" which simulates the Asphalt structure, value: 0,04
- lift the rectangle around 1mm in the blue direction and copy it around the Scene as you like
- you can save the "puddle-object" as a component for further usage

Pictures will follow...
