Leaves in Twilight benefit a lot from having some translucence. This is the same principle behind the grass component for Twilight available in the licensed users' Red Carpet club.

:!: NOTE: This is not strictly a physically accurate material, but it renders nicely.

Download the tree component used in the video tutorial from here found in the "Twilight Trees?" thread.

:>: Watch the video tutorial. 6Mb!

Some may prefer the look of the tree withOUT translucence, and this is completely understandable. It looks good in some lighting conditions from some angles. The tree WITH translucence will look good in more lighting conditions... but perhaps not all. (has not been tested in night scenes)

If you plan on working with Kerkythea Materials and Twilight, here are some additional related links:

If you have opened your scene in Kerkythea, and changed some materials in the Advanced Material Editor of Kerkythea, now you want to save them as a library for use in other models later... watch this very quick video tutorial Kerkythea Material 2 Twilight <-- video tut :!: (sorry for low quality, it was just for a quick answer to a question)

How to use materials from Kerkythea?
