thank you for that great resource!

How do I use normal und displacementmap in twilight?

Is it similar to specular and bumpmap?

displacement is same as bump, only displacement actually modifies geometry in a render engine that supports it. In Twilight, we don't have displacement, but it works fine in Bump slot.

normal maps must be loaded using Kerkythea's advanced material editor... there's a slot for Normal Maps, then you can load that library into Twilight Render.

So for these, you may want to
  1. create a simple scene with just a bunch of faces in SketchUp,
  2. apply each material WITH A UNIQUE DESCRIPTIVE NAME for each material
  3. make sure images are scaled correctly,
  4. apply the material template you desire
  5. apply the bump map (displacement)
  6. then export the whole scene as .xml
  7. open in Kerkythea
  8. open material editor
  9. add normal map in normal map slot for each material
  10. select all materials, right-click>send to library
  11. click save button and give library a name.... this will save them all together as a single material library
  12. in Twilight, point your options to find that library, or copy the finished library folder into the Twilight materials directory.
  13. close/reopen sketchup.
  14. go back to original SketchUp scene you started with
  15. apply the appropriate Library material to appropriate face with a texture on it.
  16. save the file.
next time you want one of those mats inside your SU model, you can simply insert the file into your .skp scene you are working on, and already it will be scaled with library material pre-applied.

So, there is no hope for normal map support in a future release?
