the white outside wall is a bit TOO white. Really in your face white!
I have revisited that bright wall and dirtied it up a bit. It's attached, I think it does help. boy do alpha masks save alot of re-render time. :D

@Fletch,

I have been staring at those trees for so long now I can't tell if they are better or worse :?

The lights are fixed in the two dusk images.
Thank you very much Frederik for that tip with the spots, I think they look much better now.

I'm currently re-rendering the second image with rounded edges on the chair, I'm going to let that one bake for a while, so i'll post it once its finished.

Thanks again everyone for the comments.

:clap: excellent work!

I'd say they are not yet perfect but definitely improved... at least shadows are facing correct direction to match sun better from scene... and they are not so "hot" as before. :^: this is the hard part with 2D post-pro of trees - My client on that last project I posted really REALLY wanted those specific trees shown to the left of the house behind the bbq... but I went only once to the site for pics and it was cloudy - very difficult to make them look like they are in full sun... I made them "good enough" for my client - he loved them... very impressed... but I wasn't happy with them. :lol: :roll:

Are the plants in the courtyard all 3D - including the grass? they look really well done. I enjoy seeing an SU shot to compare before/after.

You wouldn't happen to be a perfectionist would you? :lol:

The majority of the plants are just photoshop except for some nearly out of view which you can see in the SKP output, they are there more to just get some shaddows coming through the trees. I would love to do it all in 3d but Sketchups inability to handle large poly objects very well stop me. Although the workflow to KT I find much much easier now with seting up materials in twilight :D
