Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
Nice image!
Maybe a little dark in the lower right. The wood texture is a bit tiling and odd on the uprights of the benches.

Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
Great start. My main comment is that the view kind of leaves the viewer hanging. Looks like a great space, I think the current view is a little restricting.
Right now the materials look a little flat and the space feels a little empty (nothing on the walls, etc.), and I think developing those areas will add a lot of life to the image as it progresses. I look forward to seeing it develop.

Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
great comments.
Here's the next try -
Trying to capture feeling of space with better camera angle and different ratio.
Changed floor material, concrete material, & cross material. (looking at some reference images)
Used a wood texture from here.

Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
Full size - little post pro. Read a bit about how this building actually eats pollutants out of the air. (This is a SketchUp 2-Point Perspective - keeping the verticals straight - rendered in Twilight.)

Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
The last one looks good. I would increase a bit the spec of the marble of the floor...but I'm just nit-picking.
Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
Nice but is it possible to get walls whiter? At moment they read beige....maybe colour of sun needs changing?
Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
@Massimo - absolutely right! Must fix.
@Sepo - I agree the tonemapping of the image needs work... after fixing floor and wood colors now to match better with a reference image, we will re-render. I am attaching the sky and wall color settings with a screenshot below. We will see what happens with the beige tone you mentioned after the adjustments below.
Meanwhile, here's a different view of the other major space in this building. One version with straight Twilight output at Exposure 1 Gamma 1 in the Camera settings. The other version after tonemapping with Motiva Real Camera.
After rendering this, we realized the color for the wood and floor were way off. Also, after closer inspection of some reference images, have modified the materials on several surfaces. (There is not as much concrete in the real building as shown in the model )
It cannot be overstressed the importance of using the right textures/colors in your renderings. It cannot be overstated, at the same time, the importance of tonemapping of an image.
In the example rendering above, it is too dark compared to real photos, and will be re-visited. (I have always had a tendency to push the contrast in my images too much... I find clients respond positively to contrast. )
Also, we will start using a glass that has more reflection. We have been using the Architectural Twilight library very thin glass. It works well for some interiors, but in this case, more reflection is needed.

Re: Jubilee Church - Revisited
Excellent work as usual Fletch. The last image is definitely the closet to the proper color/contrast during the daylight in the main chapel (the side chapel is more like your other image in your last posting.) I actually got to go into the church during sunset and I must say the sun's warmth on the wood elements with the sun shining behind the cross was a magnificent sight. The space just kinda glowed. I would suggest giving your model an evening treatment and see the magic.
