Rendering Active Section Cuts

Post by jtgrady » Mon Dec 27, 2010 7:11 pm

Is there a way to render active section cut in Twilight? I just ran through a render and came back to find the section cut animations I did didn't render. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome.
Twilight has never claimed to render section cuts. It is high on the wish list for v. 2. ;)

But is it possible ? I thought sections could be rendered just using zorro plugin to make real cuts in geometry.

This trick won't render animated sections, but it's still useful:

Yes, right, with the zorro2 and section cut face plugins you can actually cut the model geometry (so it is not a "virtual" section cut like with the native SU tool and render engine).

But of course, it would be a pain to cut an render each frame for an animation. However, within an animation, you could play around with some transition effects.
