Hi, It is very easy:
- Select black colour in sketchup
- In the material editor of TW, select templates - plastic - shiny, and put the index of reflection at 2.5.

That all, show us the result.

ok choose color B17 on sketchup, and in the Twilight material editor, select - Realistic Glass - Common, change the Alpha parameter at 60 and the Index of reflection at 1.8.

with back-painted glass, you will need to build the model correctly and it would take some experimentation (on my part)

but start with building the table top as a solid, and apply realistic clear glass to that object. then put a plane INSIDE that glass cube and face it "up" and paint that face with your color... use Twilight's Paint template "Flat" on that material. Make sure this paint plane is NOT the exact size as the table, but ever so slightly smaller as to fit entirely inside the glass, and make sure it's not in the same plane as the bottom of the glass table.

...like this. But here are two materials, a color down and up "realistic glass common"... I need something like glass, but opaque.

I'd say that looks pretty good to me, Silu - not sure where the probelm is, if you are having a problem.

Back painted Glass is built in real life by actually having a certain thickness of glass and painting the back of the glass with paint... so, best way to do this in Twilight is the same.

but...
If you have a single plane surface, and want a color to act like it is glass, you can get a solid glass, as you say, by
  1. choosing any color in SketchUp, paint your face.
  2. use Twilight material tool, apply Plastic>Shiny Template
  3. change IOR for that material to be the IOR of Glass = 1.52
  4. change shininess to 1000, or 5000 to make a very smooth/shiny surface
  5. to add realism, a very slight bump map may need to be added - now unlink the chain for the color, link the chain for the bump, and load your image for the bump map, adjust the bump's image size using SketchUp's image texture adjustment tools.
-or-
apply Porcelain Template in Step 2 above.

done.

There are several example material setups in the User Manual. Please see the materials section which I see in the Index on page 2 that the material tool section is on Page 26.

You can also, as I know you are a Kerkythea user, apply any material library you have from Kerkythea.

maybe he want a glass in color with transparent, you render it with finish color, with reflection + pransparent. is that so silu?
