Here's a quick render I did today for a trade exhibition we will be doing in a few months. Let me know what you think. The timber was as usual very hard to accomplish so any help achieving a good green oak texture would be MUCH appreciated!

Those are really great renders! (kinda small, so hard to appreciate the details.)

Thanks Fletch! I sort of surprised myself with these ones and they just worked straight out the box pretty much. Here's a higher res image:
The problem I'm having is that green oak is a very specific look and sadly none of the large texture producers have anything similar. I have attempted making my own but they always somehow look wrong. Maybe more patience is needed. I think perhaps some post pro to add some shrinkage cracking and knots would help an awful lot. I'll have a play around tomorrow and let you know the results.

I'm sure you have been here already but these are both textures for Oak http://www.rendertextures.com/eiche-color-wood-texture/ - http://www.rendertextures.com/eiche-red ... d-texture/ - to give it the look of green oak would mostly be a bit of time in photoshop or playing with the coloralthough not being a timber person I might be wrong

Next time you are at a shop that sells the beams, be sure to take a hi-res digital cam. with you, and hopefully you can shoot some beams with some even lighting on them.

Well with a bit of fiddling I have something which looks pretty close. I might edit the texture and add some cracks and blemishes. But for now here's a close up of the timber:
