Beach House
Beach House
I downloaded this model by ARQ. CARLOS from 3d warehouse and made a few small changes then redid the materials, landscaping, etc... rendered on easy08 for about 50 minutes, then some post pro. It was just a quick exercise but I was happy with the outcome. I think i might revisit it and do some post-pro grass and maybe some aging to the concrete. Any other comments/suggestions to improve the image?

Re: Beach House
Hello JC,
It's a very good render.
Some things to think about: (in addition to what you mentioned)
The wood doesn't look like the appropriate material between the concrete walls.
The concrete material looks like it needs some attention where it hits the door opening.
Straighten verticals in post pro.

Thanks Ramy. The car paint is just Black with the Paint > Gloss template applied. The IOR is 1.52, Shininess set at 600.
Nice work. I really like the stucco material and the post-pro grass. Where did you find the image for that grass? And the trees behind the wall to the left of the house?
I played around with the model a little more, and here is my first attempt at a dusk/night shot with Twilight.

Re: Beach House
Thanks for the comments guys.
Fletch, I rendered out the image at 1600 px wide, not really high res, but high enough for what I need it for. I just scaled it down so it's easier to view on the forum.
Ramy, I used a spherical sky image with the sky brightness set at 1.7 and used a light orange sunlight color with the max sun intensity set at 1.1. The interior lighting is done simply by placing off-white colored planes in different areas of the house with the light emitting template set at a power of 900.
Here is the same image using ramy's grass image that he used instead.
