How do you modify from a library mat?
If I choose something from SSS, everything in edit is greyed out.

sorry , I must use "template" instead of "collection"...at my previous post. I don't know if it is a standard way, but it works for me: go to template and choose SubSurfaceScattering, and choose for example "wax " material, then start tweaking it...

Particularly appreciated the blinds material so tried your settings but result is bad.
I begun with template lightshade and moved to your settings..? dont understand the problem?
do you have thickness in your blinds?

tried your settings but doesnt work. My blinds shows no transparencies.
Used a SSS material called lampshade for beginning...
Do you give some tickness to your blinds?

thanx mates :). here is another one, wasn't patient enough to have a neat one, so reduced noise using PS. both renders have the same theme, or maybe it is my inner theme by now !!! :lol:

I like when we don't wait too long to get a clear render, the image is like "hand coloured".
