ad for 6panel ConnectView system

Post by bradleyabbott82 » Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:54 am

This is ONLY 6 PASSES on easy9... been cooking about an hour (okay I resized it from 4x 1080p res lol), but by tomorrow morning resized to 1080p will look GREAT! Thoughts? It will be an ad for the ConnectView 6panel display hardware...
*EDIT: and yes, I made the wall lights harsh on purpose lol - I wanted a "cartoony extreme" kind of look with the lights and bright paints...

You might think to add some shadow under that guy (i see that is some, but also there is some glow too ... )
Also, I can remember there are some LCD displays with no border (or very thin), I have no idea about prices... but I think you might think about that for your 6panel system.

Fletch - I'm glad you like that floor! I worked hard practicing the Spec/Bump maps for concrete over the last week or so - looks like its paying off :) I've attached another image I did for someone here on the forum who PM'd me in need of help the other night... Their model was all jacked up so I rebuilt it in a few hours and rendered it overnight for them... Both these images have the same floor (I reused it on this new model I'm working on, I liked it so much)...

Enjoy...

PS. The 6panel Image is 13hrs - 38passes (but its networked with another machine that had made 52passes - so you do the math)... its orignal render size is 3840x2160 which helps alot when resizing to AA the image...

Thoughts on how it turned out? The shadows are much more pronounced now with the multiple passes...

Thanks for the suggestion - but one of the products I hold a patent on / that I manufacture (I live in texas but have a facility in China) is flat-screen TVs :) so those displays are actually MY tv's :) can't beat the price!

6panel - reduced drom 3840x2160 to 1440x810... a little postpro - mostly just bringing up the saturation on the screen images in the 6panel display... and added some glow to our zen friend on the desk there...

This is the image/model I redid for someone here on the forum who was up against a deadline (within 24 hours lol)... It has that same floor that I 've been practicing on creating...

for the zen shot, it's clean and smooth as a baby's ... you know.
(trying hard to critique now) The only critique I can find is that the door frame is shiny aluminum or something and doesn't look realistic.
I don't like the throw of the light from the cans, but you mentioned you like it that way, so...

I think the last render of the bar is your best yet, very nice work. :gj:
The lady is floating above the floor and is not reflecting in the face of the adjacent metal cabinetry. People are always tough to do.

Damn you fletch for noticing her "float" lmao - I noticed AFTER the 12hrs of rendering... I placed the people as an afterthought (based on request from the person here on the board that I did it for) and LITERALLY dropped them in, and 2 second later hit render... If I had spent even 5 minutes working with it PRE-TEST render (i didn't test it because I had already tested to ensure clarity before I added the people) I'd have seen it.. Damned Unbiased renders lol!

Thanks for the compliments! I have another view of the 6panel office cooking right now - I think you guys are going to like it -- heres a pre-lim (only 2hrs of cook-time) to wet your noodle :) The office was inspired by "edge of darkness" office @ northmoor headquarters :) Fletch - this is why the door frame is aluminum (kind of a theme here lol)

the guy in the bar render looks like the lead singer from Midnight Oil, Peter Garrett....he is a politician now and a minister in our current Labor Government...!!

....see, just about anyone can make it into politics here in Australia...!!
