Bespoke Island

Post by Dan_ddd » Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:15 am

Hi all

It's been a while since I've posted. been really busy opening a new kitchen showroom.

Here is part of a project I'm working on for a client at the moment. This island will be in the middle of their kitchen and they wanted it to look old with paint peeling.

The textures are all Arroway http://www.arroway-textures.com/
I let it bake over night on Easy 9 and then have doen a depth merge in Gimp.

Let me know your thoughts. I must admit I'm feeling a bit rusty :)

Excellent work. Almost like a photograph. Only the handle is too pretty.

:gj: If you want some crits: the wood grain of the top looks a bit out of scale (large) and I would keep the background more homogeneous.

I'll have to work on those handles to make them less pretty!

The wood grain does look too large but I only set the size to what Arroway recommend..

Did I say that I'd used Gimp...? I meant to write: I was thinking of using Gimp but found it far too complicated!! :D
