I was wondering if anyone could offer some ideas on how I would take a piece of wood veneer and enclose it in glass? I am trying to mimic a material from a company called 3-Form.
I have no idea where to start.

Re: glass coating
A picture would help. Anyway if you need something like the picture below just use Fredo's joint pushpull plugin to model an outer shell.
Select the surface-->press the Joint pushpull icon (the one with a little "J")-->press TAB on your keyboard-->choose thickening-->click on the surface and drag the cursor outside-->type something like, lets say, 0,2 cm in the vcb.
Then apply a wood mat on the inner surface and an architectural glass no shadow template on the outer surface.

Re: glass coating
Great little tutorial, Massimo!
There is a built example here: :>: Best thread ever about product shots/studio shots on Twilight's forum.

Re: glass coating
Thanks Fletch! That looks a little like what I am trying to do. Image a piece of glass 1.5" thick with a thin piece of veneer sandwhiched in the middle. I want the edges to have a polished look. I have attached a pic this time. It is a bench.
Thanks for your help!
