Three story house

Post by continuousqa » Sat May 25, 2013 8:24 pm

Been working on this concept. I would like to change the sky out for something less overbright... and maybe get some mountains in the back.

i'm having issues with hdri's... they appear too close. I have tried extending a ground plane, but it doesn't seem to help. I also tried adding extra space around the image to shrink the viewable area, while that works, I tend to pick up reflections in the bar area of no image data.

any ideas?

Renders are looking good, but the handrails are too thick. Try to place some trees or urban furniture where there are large spaces in the background (here between the house in the front and the house in the back). :^:

Architecture: the volume in the left (the prominence) could stay without those columns (a back leg I guess?). That long little terrace coming from the right has a functional reason?

I think it's looking lovely. :)
To make it more realistic, you need to model how the building will be built, for instance, stone lintels over windows/doors, etc.

Thanks guys,

I did do a nighttime version as well. I added a few more trees, and tried to improve it a bit.
