This is a GREAT image.
Some ways to improve:
First, the lights seem to be leaking around the downlights/canlights. Check out the resources section and get the Twilight Light components.
Second, the lights seem a bit overpowered, if lights are too bright, they can cause longer rendering times (as the engine tries to bounce more light than it normally would need to, or tries to correct errors it's getting from too much bounced light). It's better to power the lights more realistically (as a rough rule of thumb, the default point light at power 1 is approximately like a 100w incandescent light bulb.) and then adjust the exposure of the rendering in the "Camera" tab of the Render Dialog. Or adjust exposure in post processing with a photo editor.
If you are doing a lot of cabinetry, you will definitely want to download the Perfect Reflection Library Like Glossy Solid Acrylic

PS, if lights are too strong/powerful they can also cause materials to look wrong.
