Re: Twilight Render V2 OSX Install Report
Downloaded V2 Hobby 64 bit
Macbook Pro (32 bit) specs:
Followed directions from your website.
When I open Sketchup it almost immediately crashes.
Please tell me how to uninstall it so I can at least open SketchUp and finish working on my model.
Thanks

Re: Twilight Render V2 OSX Install Report
As I mentioned in another thread, I don't think your OSX is 32 bit. You can't run SU 2015 on a 32 bit OSX.
You can remove Twilight Render by navigating to the SketchUp plugins directory here: MacHD/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2015/SketchUp/plugins and deleting the twilight2.rb and TwilightV2 folders.

Re: Twilight Render V2 OSX Install Report
Chris,
Thanks for the reply. After some brief research, you are absolutely correct...my Macbook is 64 bit. Who knew?? I bought it used on eBay and it is a 2009, so I just assumed it was 32 bit.
Anyway, any thoughts on why SU is crashing after installing TL V2? Is it something you guys are working on at the moment? I really want to buy it.
Thanks

OK,
Your OSX Yosemite is 64bit.
SU2015 for Mac only exists in 64bit flavor.
So you need to install the very latest version of Twilight that is for MAC AND 64bit for SU2015.
Please make sure you've installed correct version from this page here

Just so there is no confusion, I did install the latest Twilight V2 64bit for Mac (Hobby) for Sketchup 2015 on my 64bit laptop. That is what I have been having problems with. (I know I was a little confused about whether my Mac was 32 or 64bit, but I think that is irrelevant because I still installed the proper version of V2 for use with SU 2015 on a Mac)
I have since Uninstalled Twilight V2 64bit for Mac and stopped using SU 2015. I have INSTALLED Twilight V2 32bit for Mac and went back to SU 2014. HUGE Improvement. Works flawlessly. This is still with OS X Yosemite as well. Hope this helps in the troubleshooting.

Re: Twilight Render V2 OSX Install Report
Thanks for the update. That is good information to know.
It's still pretty early for both SU 2015 and Yosemite. If the problem is SU 2015 hopefully that is something that will get fixed as time goes on.

Problem installing Twilight2 Hobby/Pro 32bit / 64bit to SketchUp 2014
I can't seem to shake this message (see images enclosed) any help out there? I have tried all flavours of the install file, both 64/32Bit, and removed them completely but nothing seems to work. I have assumed my machine is 64Bit as the 64Bit Kernel and Extensions=Yes on the System Software Overview.
Over to you smart guys and gals.
Ultimately i want the Pro version installed.. Specs of machine…

Re: Twilight Render V2 OSX Install Report
2 big things.
1. SketchUp 2014 is 32 bit, so you must download and install the 32 bit version of Twilight Render. It doesn't matter what your operating system is; it matters only what SketchUp version you are using.
2. Twilight Render V2 doesn't support OSX 10.7, only 10.8 and later.

Re: Twilight Render V2 OSX Install Report
Chris,
Thanks for clearing that up - i was a trying to verify that without previous success.
The website does state the 10.8+ compatibility but I had wrongly assumed this to be a statement of compatibility with the most recent OSX updates rather than a minimum requirement.
Thanks again!
