Trouble with ray tracing

Post by baz » Wed Apr 13, 2016 7:06 am

Hi Guys, would you think that over 140 passes at o8 would get rid of the 'speckles' on the cushions and walls. (attached)
I also pulled an image at 100 passes and there was no difference at all except for a slight change in 'speckle' pattern.
Any help advice appreciated.
(As usual this a rush job with a small budget, but I would like to get it right).

The sparkles are from the reflections from the metal.
They will go away:
  1. Use a different render setting like Easy09 or Easy10 or probably Easy01-07 render settings.
  2. It possible you are rendering with HDR spherical sky or sky probe, many HDR images do not render well with Easy 08 it looks best with physical sky and sun.
  3. Use a different metal that doesn't cause this problem. Try using the Twilight Render Material Templates for Blurry Metal. You are likely using the NK metals pack, which for some reason do not play nicely with Easy 08 render setting.
