Thinking like a photographer is what makes a professional versus an amateur when lighting your architecture for a rendering.
Your images will look so much better when you can learn how to visualize the results and take control.
We have said since the beginning that the base rendering is often a great start, but just a start, and that you will need to edit the image to take it from good-to-great. Just as a professional photographer, even with thousands of dollars of complex equipment may take a photo, but still need to edit it in order to make it evoke an emotion.
Here a professional architectural photographer explains how he lights an exterior dusk shot, the advantage to you in 3D is that you don't have to fight against the sunset and you have an unlimited number of invisible lights at your fingertips.
