I know there is a thread about trees in Twilight, but u wanted to expand that to other types of vegetation.
http://www.vbvisual.com/ make some great and very low poly vegetation, which i have used in Cinema 4D. The Artlantis crowd also uses these
but they convert them to format that only Artlantis can use.
Is there a way we can team up with the guys from Vbvisual and create a library for Twilight? I think it will be a great addition even if we have get it as an add on perhaps.

Re: Twilight Vegetation
Those are really cool!
Re: Twilight Vegetation
Just use the png version of the trees, etc. Or make them png's in Gimp or PS. They work just fine that way. The only problem is, they're at a very high resolution and TR will crash very quickly if you use too many. Another solution would be to add them in post-pro, but I like the other way better.

I saw some nice trees here:

Yes, this maple tree by Jeff is really amazing, but it has 4,2MB when you download the model. After purging, it is reduced to 3,34. I don't dare to use more than one.
So what is your workflow for making a PNG from it? 1. render the tree, 2. render an alpha mask, 3. use both to make a transparent png in gimp/psd, 4. take the png into SU and make it a face-me component;
Never did start from SU, just from photos. If you set the same lighting for rendering the tree as you later use in your scene, this should look pretty realistic (apart from shadows)...
