Need crepe paper SEAMLESS bump, please help.

Hello, I need a crepe paper bump texture like this in image.
Image
I tried to make this one seamless using Richard Roseman Tiler plugin for Photoshop, but that one averages the edges, but the result had a cross where tiles were meeting, a darker and blurry average of the image. Ugly.

Does any of you have and willing to share such texture?

Thank you.

Are these good enough? Taken from CG Textures.

Here is a diffuse, a bump and a normal map (can be used to make a Kerkythea material) generated from your first, red creep image (I've just bought PixPlant, let me be the helpful guy for the first time)
:)

Oh My God, Gaieus! That's just amazing ! :rspkt: Thanks!
I took a look on PixPlant website... it looks like a amaizing tool! Is is something like CrazyBump ? Or are just different tools?

Well, as far as I know (and while in beta, I also tested it a bit), CrazyBump can "only" generate the 3D texture maps from a given texture although it is said to be the best at this on the (affordable?) market.

PixPlant can also generate seamless textures from photos you use as "cores" (i.e. take several pictures of the same stone wall and use those as cores and PP will automatically generate the seamless texture from them). Many settings are available.

Then it can also generate the 3D maps. Maybe not as good as CrazyBump at this but any software is only as good as well the user can exploit its functions and since I can simply not see any difference between the results (this is my limitation of course), I decided to get PP instead of CB for two reasons; seamless texture generation and price (it's about half the price or so...)

In my "professional" modelling (say archaeological reconstructions), I need lots of custom materials I cannot find on the net otherwise. So now I can take photos of an existing Roman wall which has a height about 60-70 centimetres (say 2') left and generate the seamless textures for the whole wall which would be say 3 metres/10' high. This part is very important for me and so far I love PP while I can believe that CB would be better (if I could use it better) for 3D map generation.

PP is a great program (have it myself) and works very well in generating seamless textures of repetitive patterns (i.e. bricks, tiles, stones etc.) or with images with no patterns (i.e. plaster, paper etc.). Not very good with materials which have "veins" with a direction (i.e wood, cloth etc.). Anyway there is a demo version with watermarks, so you can try it.

Good point, Massimo, I will definitely keep that in mind. Good thing is however that at least for wood, there are already good textures available on the net and PP can do "only" the 3D map part with a texture loaded. (And I rarely render cloth materials :) )
