Hill House, round 2
Hill House, round 2
Another try at creating a believable environment for an exterior image. Rendered on Easy08 for about 25 minutes, grass and some other PP done in Photoshop. Any ideas on how to make it more successful?

Nice image and good pp. However the image is inbalanced. There is too much grass and building feels squashed. You need more sky and much less grass. The old rule of three.

same here....just what they said up there ^
Re: Hill House, round 2
Thanks for the comments. I agree that the image is unbalanced... I rendered another view with a better grass/sky ratio, just need to find some time to Photoshop again. I'll post when I have a chance to finish.

I'm not completely agree that an "unbalanced" image is necessarily wrong by definition. But you have to give some "contrast" and, at the same time, a connection between the predominant part of the image and the real subject in order to "lead" the eye toward it. Also the foreground needs a bit of "interest". The subject have to spring out fluidly by the lower part of the image. Have a look at this great photo by Mario Cresci: the real subject are doubtless the goats.
Perhaps in your render the cut between the two parts of the image is too abrupt and I would avoid that large distracting shadow in foreground. Also I would let just a little more sky on the upper part of the image.

I have the answer ...... put the goats between the grass and your model
No in all seriousness I agree with the first comments as well as what Massimo is saying. The shadow of the tree distracts you from the house. I would buy a step ladder and stand at the top of it then press the render button. This will alow just a little more of the house and sky into the model and the grass will lead you to the important part of the image.
Nice PP though!
