I need to work on my "organic" modeling skills, so I went through the tutorial by Eric Lay in the most recent version of SketchUcation CatchUp. It was a good exercise and I learned some good tricks. Below is my result, rendered with a "toon" shader (to be available in Twilight Render 2.0 ;) ).

Off hand I don't remember. I'd have to re-run it. It was pretty fast, I believe, because it doesn't have any bump or specular which are two of the biggest factors for slow renders.
