Thought this might be helpful for those who are wondering "what would my image look like if I let it cook longer"... Here is a 3000x2000 px image rendered overall @ 2hrs 8passes and saved again @ 94hrs 267 passes... Since most people don't have 100hrs to let a render bake, I thought I'd post these up for those who wonder just where the point of diminishing returns might be in a large render like this... I happened to be out over the long weekend and thought I'd let this cook to see how it would turn out. No post production. 50% resize to fit forum max file sizes (so there is some inherent AA in the resize... If anyone is interested in the full-size 3000x2000 image let me know via PM and I'll send a link).

As a side note- I use 42" LED displays (just like the one in the image actually) as my work-monitors, therefore I'm a bit over-critical about noise lol - I sometimes forget that 99% of people are viewing images on much smaller displays and the noise becomes a non-issue...

Can some of you tell me how these look on your displays? Most importantly the two resized images (the first two), since they are resized from 3k to 1.5k px wide - I'm curious if there seems to be a big difference between the two on a variety of different display sizes? Could you tell me what size display (and what res) you're viewing it on and what kind of difference you see in the "clarity" of the images (in terms of quality difference)...?

Hi Bradley,

All your renders are looking very good. I have so much to learn

I'm looking at your top 2 renders on a Philips 220WS 1680x1050.
The 2nd one is 80% clearer and so much crisper.
As an example the definition of the TV screen and surround is way cleaner and realistic.
The background is alot less grainy and sharper if those are the right words.

I didn't make this model (just the television which is one of my products) - look through the gallery for keyword "zen" and you'll find the original living room model - the creator is amazing, truly inspiring and a great space to showcase the TV
