an experiment using DOF for the moment

Easy 05 Medium +
Camera 1.4

.......will need to some adjustments to the model and scene, so it has a little way to go

That looks great, just enough foreground DOF.

Only thing is the grass that looks flat, I have some grass somewhere that you could scatter around (.png based) to give a more natural look, here is the grass thread: http://twilightrender.com/phpBB3/viewto ... f=26&t=463

i was wondering if it is worth modelling the corrugated metal panels?
anybody ever does this?
the only place where texturing isn't perfect is the edge of the roof...

I do normally, unless the render is going to be at a far enough distance not to notice.

good point Adam.....when the view is a close as this one is, edge details like the edges of the corrugated roof do become a weakness.....i might try and reduce the thickness of the roof by 50% and see if that makes any difference

I have found a file from a roofing supplier.....i'll give that a try too
