Thomas' WIP

Post by Thomas » Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:20 am

finally finished a design for class which started in september and finished this morning (after a 14 hour marathon in front of the computer 8-) )
I have handed it in already, so I'm looking for some C&C, especially on the 2 interior renders (thanks to Majid's tutorial!)

i'm also going to continue rendering this model trying out different techniques and stuff to learn more about rendering, all comments and tips are VERRYYY welcome =D
thanks!

:welcome: Thomas!
Great presentation!

I guess in the perspective renderings I miss some furniture or indoor plants or something to give things some scale reference. even a simple table and chairs...

This is a great presentation technique to get some good 'ideas' of how the place looks without getting caught up in details of photo"real"ism...

Very nice. Really effective water colors.

thanks for the input guys =D
I tried too much on photorealism when i first started w/o knowing much background about rendering, and I must say the results were horrible!
but now that i've played around more I like how NPR gives a 'design' feeling and is so much faster to produce

I've taken your suggestion into account Fletch, and added a bit of furniture from 3Dwarehouse, decided to fool around with it a bit more too

Great presentations and I should say full marks for making things work and selling your ideas to the clients.
But in terms of rendering and realism, IMHO, you scored badly. ;)

Good work, maybe be the render images are a bit to dark, and also maybe a scale problem between the sofa and the TV cabinet on the last image... :gj:

nice presentation, specially the combined render (lines+TWr), clear enough to "understand" the space.
