Re: Very slow render time
different view using emitters in the windows as I mentioned earlier. This is 2.5 minute rendering on Easy 09 with Fastforward denoise. emitters1.jpg one version combines invisible emitters and leaving the sun enabled, the other version with invisible emitters and disabled sun. The room on the left ...

Re: Very slow render time
Hi Fletch, Thanks for your help. I'm currently using the hobby version, and evaluating if it will work out for me. There is no "Extensions>Twilight V2> Diagnostic " available in the hobby version. The materials I used are from images about 50KB in size. I believe that is typical of Sketch...

Re: Very slow render time
Hi Fletch,
I DM'd you a couple days ago, and just checked my sent messages. Nothing appears sent.
I will try again, but it seems odd.
Are your DM's open?

Re: Very slow render time
I have some dome lights inside that are light emitters. this is the likely culprit - I'm not sure what you mean by "dome lights" but light emitting surfaces increase render times. applied two different siding textures to the exterior walls, hi resolution textures can increase render times...

Very slow render time
I'm finally starting to get some decent images. Render times were quick. Then I applied two different siding textures to the exterior walls, and a couple of plants in the foreground, my render times have gone through the roof. This one took about 12 hours and I stopped it with 8 hours to go. It was ...

Re: New Hobby User getting poor results
Here is a rendering from the porch. Sun is set at default level of 5. Background is Physical sky. Porch screens are grey glass set at 10% opaque. Does this program require multiple interior light sources and all sorts of lighting tricks to achieve a decent level of light? I have watched several tuto...

New Hobby User getting poor results
The beginner tutorials all seem to focus on interior scenes and adding lights. Is there a tutorial that helps with exterior scenes, with no lights except for the sun? When I render this scene, and anything like it, the interior of the house is dark and the shaded areas are too dark as well. In reali...

Re: New User - Dark Interiors
I have (attempted) to attach a render and a cooresponding screen shot of a Sketchup model. [Actually, I don't see a way to post an image. Am I supposed to upload my image somewhere else, and post a link?] There is a small tab below the message window labeled “attachments” , click on that and you’ll...

Re: New User - Dark Interiors
:welcome: Dapper Dan! These are very common first-timer questions. No worries, we will help you out. :hat: No you don't have to modify every material. If you have Twilight Render Pro all of the default SketchUp materials will render with their Twilight Render equivalent materials (glass, water, woo...
