Re: Invisible Items

Yes, thank you, I did refresh the geometry / red button, and that's the shot I attached. Sorry, I can't post the scene because it's an on-going film-development project but, as indicated above, I've discovered exploded & regrouped items become visible... which is a non-issue in leaner scenes. An...

Invisible Items

I finally purchased TR and am starting to work but discovered part of my rendering isn't visible to the naked Twilight Render,... what am I missing? Okay,... it seems that components from the 3D warehouse can't be rendered - 'cause I brought another one in with the same non-results. To experiment fu...

Re: Ready for my close-up

Yeah, this is odd. I just ran a test, using a row of 2D figures and I was able to "stand" one foot away and play with focus settings between these 'people' placed eight inches apart. I'm thinking the problem might lie with the fact that my model is complex and rather large - because I was ...

Ready for my close-up

I'm trying to use my DOF feature but when I click the magnifying glass on a scene element (sorry I can't remember the correct terms) to establish the area on which to focus, I get a warning 'sound' & dialogue telling me it's too close to work (or something like that). The DOF video I've seen loo...

Re: New System Conflict?

Thank you for these, Fletch. I did find a manual for V- 1.4.5, just now, so I'll check that out. I just need more details than these current materials offer. I'm loving the render results so far but they're taking HOURS and still never complete - but I'll keep working with it until I can get the PRO...

Re: New System Conflict?

Thanks, Chris,... good to know I'm not alone. It never happened before I upgraded my system but you guys are on top of it so all is good - thanks.

New System Conflict?

I'm new to TR, working on a Mac platform and my learning curve is a bit slow (wishing there was a user's manual somewhere),... and I just upgraded my system to the "Yosemite" 10.10 OS. I now get an odd hole or blank spot in my screen soon after starting my Twilight Render-ing explorations ...

Re: Phantom walls?

Hey Chris, Well, the Cut&Paste didn't do it. I'm thinking there might be a file size limit somehow - don't know. I did try the 'explode' and then 'group' the figures and that worked,... although they are no longer 'face-me' components - but they are visible now. Again, this didn't happen in othe...

Re: Phantom walls?

Thanks for the tips. No, the invisible wall isn't a component, unless there is a way to accidentally make it one... I hate some of the way SketchUp handles it's layers - no matter how logical it is. I made a simple floor & box setting to experiment with DOF (which doesn't act as simply as that y...

Re: Phantom walls?

Chris,

Sorry, this work is for a client that would not be happy to have our project off campus, as it were. Has this ever happened before?

And is there any way I can render my 2D figures? Do they render in others' efforts?

Thanks,
Andrew-
