Re: Render tips
How is this? I added some punch and sharpness and followed it with some noise reduction using Neat Image.

Re: Render tips
Hi Unclebim, are you saying that the image you edited has not been cleared of noise yet? If so, can I clear to an acceptable level using Neat image? Thanks for the tips in regards to Gimp. I have that program and I love it. However, I am not at the level you seem to be at so thanks for information. ...

Re: Render tips
Do you know if there is any freeware out there for the topaz filter and jpeg noise filter? If there is, or even if there is not, could you make any recommendations?

Render tips
Hi Fletch,
In an attempt to create a portfolio of my work, I have created and rendered my first interior space. I would love any advice you (or anyone else) could offer.

Is this scene rendered in Twilight? If so, how do I insert one of these spherical skyline images so that my view to the outdoors isn't black?

Re: Render Farm - Speed Comparison Examples.
Hi Bradley,
I am interested in finding a renderfarm that can take care of some of my renderings so that I don't have to wait 12 hours? Are you or anyone you know interested and do you have any pricing information? I'm clueless in regards to pricing.
Thanks

Re: glass coating
Thanks Fletch! That looks a little like what I am trying to do. Image a piece of glass 1.5" thick with a thin piece of veneer sandwhiched in the middle. I want the edges to have a polished look. I have attached a pic this time. It is a bench.
Thanks for your help!

glass coating
I was wondering if anyone could offer some ideas on how I would take a piece of wood veneer and enclose it in glass? I am trying to mimic a material from a company called 3-Form.
I have no idea where to start.

Hi, I have downloaded many HDR's but my question is...how do I pick which HDR to use for any given situation? I can see a JPEG of some of the HDR's but I have no idea what direction the light is coming from in order to position my piece of furniture? Do I need a studio to use the HDR's? Thanks for y...
