Re: Livingroom scene

After rendering for 30 hours on Easy09, and a tiny bit of Postpro, here's the final image (resized beacuse the original is 2000px wide and too large to post here). Maybe I should've lowered the bump on the wallmaterial cos it ended up looking like noise :wall: Comments very much appreciated of cours...

Re: Modern rocking chair by Scott Wilson

Very impressive, both the modelling and the render
Thanks for sharing the video, it's interesting to see how the model came about!

Wow they're really cute and nice! If I had any idea how to texture a shape like that I'd render a few :D

Re: HALL SCHOOL - MY FIRST TWILIGHT PROJECT

Very nice images, you're off to a good start! The grass is very nicely done, although on the first image there's still a few planes sticking through it. Also, on the second image you could try rounding off those sharp corners on the wood (to the right). Just 0.5 cm would make a big difference in rea...

Re: Livingroom scene

Hehe yeah I'm still getting used to that idea... We sort of made a deal that we will get a mediumsized flatscreen once I move in, but no cableconnection. So only for watching movies

Re: Livingroom scene

Thanks for the positive and helpful feedback guys! I refined the model a little, added some more setdressing and upped the reso of the floortexture. Textured some more things (like the leather on the chair) and increased the size of the chair to balance the couch (JeZ, the sizes were accurate but ag...

Livingroom scene

Hi all, I've been spending quite some time catching up on the forums, cool to see all the new works, people, tricks etc... To get back into things after being away from Sketchup for almost four months I decided to give interior-rendering a shot. Both because I've never done it before and was curious...

Re: Back after a few months

What shadow bug??? ;)

Thanks for the welcome back guys, and I must agree with Fletch; I've seen a lot of awesome stuff already!

Hope to add my mediocre contributions soon (hard to get back in business after a three month leave).

Back after a few months

Hi all, I spent the last couple of months in Sierra Leone (West Africa) where internet is always so bad, even sending one simple email can take the whole day. Hope I'm still welcome here, I'll get started reading up on all I've missed and admiring all the fantastic work you guys've made. Cheers! Phi...

Re: rendering multiple section planes

Sounds promising Fletch, though I still have displacement-mapping as my #1 wish for a future version  Thanks again for the help Gaieus, I didn't use Zorro in the end though. Instead, I placed simple planes on the exact spots I had the sectionplanes. Then went on to intersecting them, which I co...
