Light emitting surfaces are very important, as they give extremely realistic lighting. The key with them is to set their power correctly. ok... here it is, zero post pro. I completely agree a bit of dirt will add to the realism, but I add this in post pro... it's just faster. Only, with this image, I was avoiding post pro, cause it's about the trees. ;) if you scroll up and back to page 1, you can see the image w/ post pro and dirty ...

yeah, if it's not there, it's diff. for it to cast a shadow.
there must be some game engines that support this, but not that I'm aware of in SU plugin format.
did you look at Turtle or other sim engine?
