Lighting and Render Speed

Lighting and Render Speed #emittervsspot #spotvsemit

Here is a quick test example at the large render speed difference between Light Emitting Materials (LEM) as soffit lights, (a.k.a. cove lights, concealed lights), or using multiple spot lights. Spot lights are much quicker.
If rendering with Easy 09 or 10 it is recommended to use LEMs but if you are in a hurry - it is recommended to use spot lights.

Rendered the same scene with the two versions of lights -
Easy 02 Low Render Setting
spot lights : 1m 36s
emitters : 9m 12s

Easy 04 Medium Render Setting
spot lights : 4m 32s
emitters : 23m 41s
