In order to use procedural materials with Twilight Render they must be used in a library material.
In order to create a material library for yourself, you can use the free program Kerkythea.
It comes with an advanced material editor with which you edit materials, employ procedural materials, and save libraries.
You can direct Twilight to see Kerkythea's library materials, or you can copy any library folder over to Twilight's materials folder in Google SketchUp's plugins folder.
In Kerkythea, there are several powerful procedural materials created as a plugin for Kerkythea. Those you must download from the Kerkythea forum and install yourself following their instructions.
Then those may also be used with Twilight. (They are automatically installed with Twilight.)
Dear Fletch, do you mind sharing these items please:
A previous version of KT ( that was almost 9MB as I remember) and including basic material pack and place holder for ies lights, Globals, etc... I used to install it first and then update to latest version to have all the necessary files.
And also I need the procedurals ( I mean more plugins) and the corresponding ini file please. It would be a great help. Thanks in forward.
Ps: I was lucky to find the corresponding topic about the Kerkythea plugins:
http://www.kerkythea.net/forum/viewtopi ... =24&t=4280
It includes the installation and use instruction also.

I tweaked the kerkythea.ini file and add the procedurals. It shows them, but While trying to make a change it crashes. So if there is a stable version of Kt ( a previous version was working fine) and/or is there any way to heal the crashing?

Me either...
I think there must be a solution, as TW works fine with procedurals and it is based on KT. I am preparing a pack of leather materials and they need procedurals.... ( I am using mCell map in fact).

My nearest guess - Avariant never released 64bit version of the procedurals... or the ability of KT64bit to load 64bit procedurals was never completed by Giannis... something that would probably take him 15 mins to fix.
Twilight, however, works seamlessly in 64bit with even more great procedurals :^: ... so I no longer attempted to get them working in 64bit KT.

Yeah, twilight procedural maps are really great, while rarely users discover them....

Thea has several procedural materials, but not as many as Twilight. :D
