A Bosch Cooker Model

Post by kage » Sat Oct 22, 2011 3:12 am

Hi,

Pretty new to this. First post. Only started on Sketchup a few weeks ago and am hooked already - especially now I've bought Twilight. Anyway, I thought I'd share my first model and see how people can improve on it.

It's a Bosch integral double oven which I'm having installed in my new kitchen (the reason I started in Sketchup was to design the kitchen).

My whole kitchen model is pretty complex and is taking ages to render which is why I've kept materials and lighting in this model simple. Just a brushed steel texture and a bit of stainless inside.

Comments & constructive criticism very welcome.

Sorry I can't attach file as its 822kb and the limit is 750kb. It's in the google warehouse under Bosch HBM13B251B

:welcome: Kage, you can zip a file and share the .zip file. ;)

Here's the direct link to the Bosch HBM13B251B model in the Warehouse. It says in the description it has lights and materials :>: ready for Twilight Render. :^:

And the preview:

Doh! Why didn't I think of that? To be fair, I live in the UK and it was about 2am when I finished the model so I wasn't thinking straight :)

Love Twilight Fletch :rspkt: I started playing with Kerkythea originally which, whilst being very powerful, is a bit cumbersome for the beginner. You've streamlined the whole thing beautifully inside Sketchup making it accessible to beginners but still powerful enough for pros.

Very good model. Thank you very much, be useful for me. I will refine the model itself. I did not like some things. Door glass i made with one plane. I drilled holes due to the switch. And the biggest problem is translucent pictures. They were too far from the surface (to cast a shadow) and I guess that is a bad transparency mask (need fix it).

Alydas. I love the changes you made. Could you attach your amended .skp file so I can use it in my kitchen and learn from the changes you made.

Hi Alvydas. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't unzip the attachment - Windows keeps saying it's empty.

be sure that you are really downloading it. Is possible that windows to make the file, but if no data comes from web, it may end empty. It happened for me sometimes when dowlnoading from internet.
Try a different browser.
