More suggestions to make Twilight better
Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
I just used TW to render multiple scenes one after another, using Animation settings. The problem is that it saves only as .jpg and different scenes needed different exposure settings. So, what if we could save as .hdr in animation? Not for animation, but for multiple scenes render... a HDR image is better suited for post-processing and exposure adjustments, than a .jpg

No, you are not limited to only jpg when rendering animation. You can save files in any of the formats supported by Twilight, including hdr. If you do not specify an extension when you set up the "Base Image Name" it will default to jpg, but you can specify any of the image extensions.

In extension list I have only JPG. On the PC where I used it like that is demo version, indeed. Is this a limitation of demo versions?Chris wrote:No, you are not limited to only jpg when rendering animation. You can save files in any of the formats supported by Twilight, including hdr. Yes, that is a demo limitation. You are limited to jpg everywhere in the demo version. It has nothing to do with animation.

Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
Hi everyone,
I am using sometimes Artlantis Render in parallele with TR for my rendering and there is an interesting feature in the materiel fresnel glazing shader in artlantis.
It is able to detect the windows panels and can distort the reflection for each panels. I guess (it is something like in Fletch tutorial about tiles), a automatic normal map for the windows panels. It will add more realism for curtain walls for exemples.

Do you have an image example? This may be possible in Twilight already (using a Kerkythea material library), but I'm not certain based on your description.

You could try this.

Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
You should have rights to upload an image. Use .jpg, keep it smaller than 800px wide at first.
below the text window for your post: "Upload Attachement">Filename>Browse>Add the file
if it's not working for some reason, try imageshack or something for the moment. (it is strange you can not post an image)

Re: More suggestions to make Twilight better
Hi Fletch, Chris
I reduced the picture width to 800.
Heres 5 pictures.
3 are artlantis print screen to show you the setting in artlantis for the fresnel glass shader.
2 are quick render with TW.
When you look at the window glass. In with auto detection in artlantis we have a kind of even reflection..
